Book Signing with Author Joan Aleshire 

We’ve partnered with True Chesapeake Oyster Co. to present poet, author, and Peale family descendant Joan Aleshire for two very special events–the first at True Chesapeake Oyster Co. in Baltimore and the second at The Peale.

In the first event, enjoy a reading and talk by the author from her debut novel, Belfield, based on the remarkable life and times of Charles Willson Peale. Vermont-based critic, Jim Schley, calls the book, “artful . . . Aleshire has given us a memorable fictional realization of a history-making person and place.”
