Call to Artists: Built to Last

The Peale invites artists working in 2D media to submit original works for Built to Last, a juried exhibition celebrating Baltimore’s built environment. This exhibit highlights 10 iconic historic buildings in the city’s central business district and honors their enduring impact on our cultural identity.

Selected artists will have their work exhibited at The Peale in Spring 2026 and are eligible for prizes totaling $5,000, including a $2,500 grand prize. Jurors include respected curators and artists from Baltimore’s leading cultural institutions.

Submissions are accepted via CaFÉ through September 15.

About the Exhibition

Built to Last celebrates Baltimore’s Central Business District through newly commissioned works inspired by ten architectural landmarks, from the historic Peale Museum to the iconic Baltimore Trust Company Building. The exhibit is on view through Summer 2026.
