Support Baltimore's Community Museum!
Baltimore’s creators choose The Peale.
At the recent “Baker Artist Portfolios: Off the Web” exhibition reception, I realized that The Peale has showcased more than a thousand Baltimore-based artists and creators both in its historic museum building and online since reopening in 2017. Baltimore’s Community Museum fills a critical niche in the city’s cultural ecosystem: nurturing artists’ collaborations and first solo shows, presenting groundbreaking theater and world-class concerts, diversifying the cultural workforce through apprenticeships and amplifying authentic Baltimore stories – so much that might never happen without the unique platform that is The Peale.
Unique because staff does not select the exhibitions and programs that are presented at The Peale. Rather, Baltimore’s artists and culture-keepers choose The Peale, and the role of our expert team is to help realize their creative visions. The result is the dazzling display of talent that brings Baltimore’s communities together at The Peale.
