Connecting with Your Community by Activating Your Neighborhood
May 18 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
AAM Conference Session: As part of the American Alliance of Museums Conference in Baltimore, Peale and Quatrefoil associates will speak on a number of panels. In this session, participants ask “How can museums engage diverse audiences and encourage different learning experiences within and beyond their buildings?”
This roundtable discussion includes museums and nonprofit experts who successfully extended their impact into their neighborhoods, fostering deeper connections and a shared sense of place and history. Attendees will be encouraged to share their stories, strategies, and challenges related to place-based informal learning and community activation. Together, we will discover how museums can serve as active agents of positive change within communities and practical strategies to foster deeper connections with our communities.
