April 10-June 29, 2025
This youth-designed exhibit (envisioned, designed, and built alongside) architects from Neighborhood Design Center (NDC) features some of the youth visions of environmental toxicity and harm through maps, photography, historic timelines, and interactive standing displays.

May 25 - June 15, 2025
Since 2006, the Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize annually awards $30,000 to a visual artist or visual artist collaborators living and working in the Baltimore region. The Peale is thrilled to host the Semifinalists’ amazing work during this year’s Artscape Festival in downtown Baltimore.

June 26 - September 21, 2025
One Chiliad features three distinct bodies of work created by interdisciplinary artist Jann Rosen-Queralt. The inspiration for the artwork is the fact that our cultural legacy is determined by the relationship we have with the land and water of our environment.

June 26 - August 17, 2025
This exhibition marks the culmination of the 2025 New Generation Scholars Young Artist Archival Fellowship (NGSYAA). NGSYAA offers young artists a rare opportunity to engage deeply with Black diasporic histories and archives, drawing from ancestral memory to inspire their creative inquiry.

June 29 - September 28, 2025
Each year, the Baltimore National Heritage Area administers the It’s A Snap! photo contest. The theme was “What makes Baltimore beautiful?” The submissions reflect the unique beauty of the Baltimore National Heritage Area boundaries and the multifaceted perspectives on this great city.

Developed by archaeologist and accessibility expert Dr. Cheryl Fogle-Hatch, Founding Fossils offers a multisensory experience with 3D-printed replicas of fossils from Dr. Bernard Means and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Virtual Curation Laboratory. The exhibition includes an accessible audio tour and companion coloring book.

With the help our friends at Quatrefoil Associates, we’re launching the first iteration of a permanent exhibit at The Peale about Moses Williams to shed light on his unique craft and share a story that was nearly forgotten to history. Research is ongoing into Moses Williams’ life and work, and we’ll continue to iterate and expand on this exhibition.

The Guardians: Reshaping History
The Guardians is a photo documentary & storytelling project including photo portraits, large scale banners and digital archives that celebrate unrecognized Black female leaders across Baltimore City neighborhoods.

Redefine/ABLE: Challenging Inaccessibility
People with disabilities make up the largest minority population in the world. This project shares the challenges, successes, and stories of Maryland’s disabled communities, along with interesting facts.

Abstracts & Artifacts in Second Life
Build your avatar and start exploring a virtual replica of our building in Second Life. It’s open 24/7, 365 days a year! Tour the inside of the building too, with a special exhibition of historic photos of the Peale.
