Built to Last: A Juried Art Exhibit of Baltimore’s Enduring Landmarks
Join us for a citywide tribute to resilience and beauty in Baltimore’s architecture—through the eyes of contemporary artists.
On View at The Peale: April 17 – June 15, 2026
About the Exhibit
What does it mean for a building to last? Built to Last explores this question by spotlighting ten of Baltimore’s most architecturally significant and resilient buildings—some celebrated, others forgotten. In this juried art exhibit, regional artists offer new interpretations of these landmarks through original artworks inspired by their form, history, and future. Through art, archives, and public programs, Built to Last is both a love letter and a call to action for the city’s built environment.
