Grit Fund is now accepting applications for 2026 Project Grants and welcoming applications from community members interested in serving as jurors for the upcoming grant cycle. Together, these opportunities support Baltimore’s vibrant creative ecosystem—by funding collaborative artist-led projects and engaging local leaders, artists, and organizers in the grant-making process itself.

2026 Grit Fund Project Grants
Grit Fund will award up to $60,000 in total project grants in 2026, with individual awards of up to $10,000. These grants support collaborative, artist-led projects that contribute to the cultural life of Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Eligible projects may be led by:
- Visual and performing artists
- Cultural organizers
- Collectives and collaboratives
Artist-run spaces
Funded projects should bring creatives and community members together to explore shared space, place, and cultural connection.
Application Period:
Applications are accepted January 30 – May 1, 2026
All applications must be submitted online via Submittable.

Call for Jurors: Help Shape Grit Fund 2026
Jurors play a vital role in ensuring a thoughtful, community-informed grantmaking process. We welcome individuals with experience in the arts, culture, community work, or related fields who are interested in supporting Baltimore’s creative sector. Juror Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing all grant applications (Stage One – approximately 4 weeks)
- Reviewing top applicants (Stage Two – approximately 1 week)
- Participating in scheduled virtual meetings
Applicants may not apply for Grit Fund Project Grants or participate in funded projects during the 2026 cycle.
