Next week, we’ll be opening our doors for an evening that brings together many of the people who care deeply about Baltimore—its stories, its creativity, and its future.

On April 16, The Peale will host the Illuminator Awards. It’s our way of recognizing a group of individuals and organizations whose work is helping shape the life of this city in meaningful ways.

The evening will be simple and intentional. We’ll gather at The Peale, share time together over dinner, and then move into a short program where we hear directly from and about this year’s honorees. Their stories are thoughtful, personal, and rooted in Baltimore.

For us, this isn’t just about honoring a few people. It’s about creating a space where different parts of the city can come together—artists, neighbors, leaders, supporters—and feel connected to one another.

It also reflects what The Peale has always been at its best: a place for exchange, for participation, and for shared experience. If you’ve been following what we’re building here, this is a nice moment to step into it in person.

We’ll be finalizing arrangements early this week, so tickets will close on Tuesday.
