We’re excited to announce the launch of Peale Fine Art Framing, a new professional framing service now available inside The Peale in downtown Baltimore.
Peale Fine Art Framing offers museum-quality custom framing, conservation framing, and archival mounting for artists, collectors, families, and organizations. Whether you’re preparing work for an exhibition, preserving a family heirloom, or upgrading an existing frame, our studio brings a museum standard of care to every project.
Museum-quality framing, open to the public
As Baltimore’s community museum, The Peale has long been committed to preservation, craftsmanship, and access. Peale Fine Art Framing extends that commitment beyond exhibitions by offering professional framing services to the public—using archival materials and best practices appropriate for works on paper, photography, textiles, and objects.

Our services include:
- Custom framing for artwork, prints, and photographs
- Conservation framing with archival materials
- Matting and archival mounting
- Shadowboxes for objects and memorabilia
- Textile framing (jerseys, flags, needlework)
- UV-filter glazing options
Reframing and upgrades from non-archival frames
Supporting preservation skills in Baltimore
Peale Fine Art Framing is part of The Peale’s broader restorative arts ecosystem. In addition to delivering high-quality framing services, the studio supports hands-on training and skill development in preservation and conservation practices. Every project helps sustain the knowledge and care that go into protecting cultural materials for future generations.
