Nestled between the historic C.J. Youse Company Building and Zion Church of the City of Baltimore, The Peale originated as painter Rembrandt Peale’s Baltimore Museum and Gallery of the Fine Arts in 1814.

As I walked through the building and read about some of it's history I was impressed. I had the opportunity to see some beautiful art there and meet some of the artist who were inspired to create them as well.
This is a new / not-new Baltimore treasure. The historic museum building is now open with widely diverse media and voices. It is small enough that one can spend time and engage with the exhibits and the knowledgeable staff. Very cool.
Wonderful afternoon the exhibition on immigration is very moving. Great staff very courteous and friendly.
