Teach art handling, exhibition preparation, or historic preservation trades as part of the Accomplished Arts Apprenticeship Program! The Peale, Baltimore’s Community Museum, is seeking reliable, skilled instructors who can teach part-time on one or more modules in the Accomplished Arts Apprenticeship Program at the Peale. Although the program extends over 32 weeks from November 2022 into June 2023, any given instructor is unlikely to be required for all 32 weeks. The maximum number of teaching hours per week is currently 15: 5 hours/day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Pay is $35/hour.

- problem solving
- communicating effectively
- getting key points across to learners
- proactively engaging with the entire cohort of apprentices
- taking feedback and instructions well
- teaching from a planned curriculum
- practice workplace etiquette/safety
- use manual and power tools
- read a measuring tape and level
- properly use basic construction materials
- Paint, repair & apply spackling properly to walls
- have knowledge in carpentry
- (not mandatory but useful) handle and install artworks
- (not mandatory but useful) unpack and pack artworks
- (not mandatory but useful) properly light art exhibitions
- High school diploma or 5 years or more experience
- Reliable transportation
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Valid I.D.

About AAA
The Accomplished Arts Apprentices (AAA) program aims to increase equity and inclusion in the arts, creative and preservation trades with specific focus on people from marginalized communities in Baltimore. Apprentices are typically aged 19-24 and receive hands-on training in exhibition installation, art handling, historic preservation, and related trades, as well as greater involvement in and appreciation of the arts lifelong.
