To make this possible, we rely on an incredible team of volunteers who help welcome visitors, support programs, and ensure the museum runs smoothly during the busy festival weekend.

About The Peale

Founded in 1814 by Rembrandt Peale, The Peale is the oldest purpose-built museum building in the United States and today serves as Baltimore’s Community Museum. Through exhibitions, storytelling projects, public programs, and cultural collaborations, The Peale explores Baltimore’s past while creating space for new stories and creative experimentation.
